In West Philadelphia, born and raised...Ok, not exactly. Byron and Jen both grew up in the Dallas area (Forney and Mesquite respectively). After graduating college, they met, fell in love, and as they say, the rest is history. Byron completed his master's degree at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2012, and the two of them, with their only child at that point, moved to Fort Myers, FL. While in Fort Myers, Byron served as the assistant pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church where he became the lead pastor in 2016. He had the privilege of helping develop two assistant pastors who are now both serving as lead pastors, leading domestic and foreign mission trips (West Virginia and Dominican Republic), and serving as a founding member of the Southwest Florida Church Planting Initiative. Beginning in 2018, Byron helped lead the church through an intentional revitalization period that helped clarify Westminster's mission and vision as well as her ministry initiatives (including church planting, small groups, and children's ministry).  

Undergirding all of this, Byron and Jen have prayed, dreamed, and talked about church planting and how they might tangibly participate in church planting efforts. Now, the Lord has opened a gracious door of opportunity to join Reach South Texas in planting All Souls in Dripping Springs.

The Wests now have three children (Elijah, Evie, and Nora), and a six year old Weimaraner named Belle.
